Who’s Behind Scripta?

Hi, I’m Murat, founder of Scripta, living and building in Amsterdam.

I’ve been building startups for over a decade - a mix of entrepreneurship and tech.

Why I Started Scripta

Back in my previous startup, I started using AI notetakers for my meetings. My clients were mostly lawyers, and during discovery or sales calls, many of them would say:

“Can you remove that AI bot from the call?”

That happened more times than I can count.

So I started digging into these tool and I realized every single one failed in three critical ways:

1. Privacy - Who knows where your meetings go or who analyzes them.
2. Choice - You’re locked into their AI with no option to switch.
3. Workflow isolation - They want to lock you into their platform.

So, I decided to start building Scripta.

The Idea Behind Scripta

I had a clear picture from day one.

Scripta should:

1. Run as a desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
2. Record directly from your laptop - without joining as a bot.
3. Let you record audio or video or both (your choice).
4. Transcribe and summarize locally, on your own device.
5. Let you choose your LLM - use a local model for full privacy or a cloud one if you prefer.
6. Integrate naturally into your workflow - for example, after a meeting, one click opens Gmail with a ready-to-send follow up email written for you.

Simple, powerful, private.

What’s Next?

I’m releasing Scripta Beta for macOS next week.

It’s the first step toward truly private, flexible AI-powered productivity.
